Greetings! My name is Triston Mosbacher and I've been a Research Scientist at the California Department of Public Health for the past six and a half years, where I joined just prior to the COVID pandemic. Over that time I've seen our union develop and have been proud to contribute what I could, including striking in 2023, which left a huge impression on me as to the strength of worker solidarity. Perhaps you've seen me at solidarity meetings or at events like the recent push to support telework, and have wondered who I am.
The truth is, I'm probably a lot like you. Passionate about science, committed to public service, and looking for ways to make work and life for people like us a bit (or maybe a lot) better. I've seen the power that comes from an engaged, active union and want to help build ours through serving on the Constitution and Bylaws Committee, and by extension serving you.
I also want to work hard in bringing to reality your ideas for improving our union, because it's through all of our contributions and participation that this all works. We work best when we work together, so I’m humbly asking for your vote for me and my colleagues on the SDU slate to make this happen.
